What We Do.

We work to protect, connect, and restore wildlife and wild lands in the Southern Rocky Mountain region.

Take Direct Action

To accomplish this, we:

Protect and restore biodiversity

We advance science-based, innovative, collaborative solutions for managing wildlife and biodiversity across the region to address threats like habitat loss, climate change, and disease.

Protect Public Lands

We support intact public lands – an essential part of biodiversity protection. Our mapping expertise supports conservation outcomes in public lands management. Our oil and gas work addresses one of the biggest threats to public lands: fossil fuels development.

Connect Landscapes

We address habitat fragmentation, a primary cause of the decline of species worldwide, by identifying and protecting key remaining habitats and the linkages between them.

Engage the Community

Through oil and gas, Forest Service, and Bureau of Land Management comment periods to engaging events, we provide access and information to help the community support the wildlife and wild lands they care about.

Support Inclusion in STEM

Through our Gender Advancement and Parity in STEM (GAPS) program, workforce development programs, and Affinity Group spaces, we support inclusion of traditionally marginalized people in STEM.

Contribute to scientific knowledge

Through our resource library, we make advanced best-known scientific knowledge available and accessible to everyone!
