How can I support Rocky Mountain Wild?

There are several ways in which you can take action with Rocky Mountain Wild and support the protection of wildlife and wild lands in our region by donating your treasure, time, talent, and ties!

Some suggestions for how you can lend your treasure, time, talent, and ties:

Become a Community Scientist.

Community science allows scientists at Rocky Mountain Wild and partner institutions to expand the amount of scientific data that we can collect, conduct long-term research over large geographic areas, and focus on some our region’s most pressing questions. Professional scientists at Rocky Mountain Wild and elsewhere don’t have the capacity to do this research alone, and volunteers participating in community science programs are making major contributions to advancing science and conservation in our region and across the globe.

Attend Rocky Mountain Wild events.

Rocky Mountain Wild hosts events ranging from our annual Colorado Endangered Species Week in May where we provide educational events and advocacy opportunities to protect the ecosystems and species at risk in Colorado; to our annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival complete with award-winning environmental films and direct actions; to occasional workshops to help you formulate your public comments when there’s an opportunity to increase the conservation considerations in local and national plans and policies; and everything in between!

Take Action.

Make the world a little greener with our list of environmental actions! Every Friday, we post ways that you can contribute to making our region a greener place, including events, community science projects, jobs, internships, scholarships, and direct actions.

Contract Our Team.

Rocky Mountain Wild offers the services and talents of our staff for contracting to values-aligned community groups, individuals, and organizations, provided the service also fuels our mission! Need a map of key species habitat in your community? Need GIS analysis of at-risk species that may be in the path of a proposed recreational trail? Need a biologist’s expertise regarding imperiled species in our region? Contact us to contract with us.

Volunteer.

Rocky Mountain Wild has a tiny staff and can only have the impact it has due to our dedicated volunteers! Fill out our volunteer application and let us know more about what you want to do and what your background is, and we’ll match you with the staff and programs that might be of interest.
